Rajasthan clears Delhi-Alwar rapid corridor

The Rajasthan government has cleared the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) between Haryana and Rajasthan — covering Delhi-Gurgaon-Rewari-Alwar. This comes more than four months after the Haryana approved the high-speed rail project. The Rajasthan government gave its approval to the DPR and has conveyed this to the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) said an official spokesperson. The proposed RRTS corridor approved by the NCRTC Board in December last year, is the first installment of the larger Delh-Alwar transit corridor. The mega project would bring down traveling time between Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi and the SNB (Shahjahanpur-Neemrana-Behror) Urban Complex, which are 106-km apart, to about 70 minutes.
