Power Minister Inaugurates AI Pavilion at AI Impact Summit 2026 Showcasing Smart Energy Solutions

The exhibition demonstrated AI-driven power management solutions, a startup innovation zone and PG-AMRIT, an AI-based asset monitoring initiative by POWERGRID to improve transmission efficiency. It also featured the eAabhas early warning system using AI, machine learning and IoT for real-time dam monitoring and flood forecasting, along with AI-enabled implementation of the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme to enhance DISCOM efficiency and revenue management.
The minister also visited the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation exhibition, where Managing Director Vikas Kumar presented AI applications in metro operations. Officials said AI is being used for faster grievance redressal and maintenance activities such as monitoring overhead electrification, pantograph interaction, wheel grinding, rolling stock subsystems and signalling to improve reliability and passenger experience.
