PMC floats tenders for ₹192-cr road projects

Pune Municipal Corporation
The Pune Municipal Corporation has recently floated fresh tender to develop Katraj-Kondhwa DP road to decongest the stretch from Rajas Society in Katraj to Khadi Machine Chowk and further up to Pisoli entailing an investment of ₹192 crore. The new road will be 84-metre wide and will have four lanes and service roads as the existing one has two lanes, which are insufficient to cater to the increasing vehicular movement between the Katraj-Kondhwa stretches. The development of the new road had been stuck due to non-availability of land for the widening process. As per the government's norms, about 80% land has to be with PMC to steer clear the road project and starting the construction work, said official sources.
