PM launches ₹4,361-cr NH projects in Odisha

The PM laid the foundation stone for multiple road projects entailing an investment of ₹4,361 crore. The existing four lanes Chandikhole-Bhadrak Section of NH- 16 with a length of 74.5 km will be upgraded into six lanes at a cost of ₹1491.80 crore, and the project has been awarded to the DBL Chandikhole-Bhadrak Highways Pvt Ltd. At the Khandagiri junction on NH-16, a flyover will be constructed at a cost of ₹115.63 crore, for which the work has been awarded to RKD Constructions on EPC model. The Cuttack -Angul section of the NH-42 with a length of 112 km will be made four-lane by Gayatri Projects costing ₹1,990.73 crore. The Tangi - Puintola Section of the NH-16 with a length of 75 km, will be converted into four lanes at a cost of ₹761.79 crore by Punj Lloyd on EPC model . The Dhenkanal, Angul and Talcher, a total length of 112 km of the NH-55 will be widened at an investment of ₹999.32 crore. An official spokesperson said that these are among the other projects that have been launched across the state.
