PM kick-starts ₹1,811-cr housing project under PMAY
The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for the housing project under the central sponsored Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana involving an investment of ₹1,811.33 crore in Solarpur area of Maharashtra. 30,000 housing units will be built for the poor for which the central government is providing Rs 750 crore to the state. The PM also laid the foundation stone of the combined project for improvement of water supply and sewerage system, as part of area-based development in the Solapur smart city, for which Rs 244 crore has been sanctioned under the Smart City Mission
