Patel Engineering Wins Rs 240 Cr Hydropower Contract in Sikkim

Patel Engineering (PEL) has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a ₹240.02 crore contract awarded by NHPC for the Teesta-VI Powerstation in Sikkim. The project involves modifying the diversion tunnel into a tunnel spillway arrangement, incorporating both civil and hydro-mechanical works.

The scope of work includes construction of adits, gate operation chamber, gate shaft, precast bridge, and associated infrastructure, as well as energy dissipation arrangements, tunnel spillway civil works, and an environmental flow tunnel. The project is slated for completion in 18 months.
