Palwal gets elevated road in NCR

Elevated Road In Palwal
In its bid to cater to the surging volume of traffic between Alawalpur and Agra Chowks, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has decided to construct an elevated corridor connecting two places at Palwal in Haryana in the NCR region, Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar said, elaborating that effective coordination would be made with the NHAI for earliest possible completion of this and other projects in the area falling within the Palwal municipal limit. He said that the length of NH-2 falling under the municipal area of Palwal town is about 12 km and it has 10 major inter-sections. The flow of heavy vehicular traffic has further increased after the decision of National Green Tribunal to levy environmental compensation charge on commercial vehicles entering Delhi. He further explains that the traffic woes and consequent congestion was largely due to existing structural problems on NH-2 and there was a proposal for construction of an over bridge at Alawalpur Chowk, which will further ease traffic congestion in the city.
