PALEA Seminar Highlights Safety & Quality Standards in Elevator & Escalator

The PALEA Seminar, held on August 6, 2024, in Mumbai, focused on promoting safety and quality in the elevator and escalator industry within the Pacific Asia region. PALEA’s objectives include enhancing safety practices, developing technical standards, and ensuring safe use of elevator and escalator equipment by the public. The association also supports creating efficient industry standards and collaborating with international organizations to incorporate the region's needs into global safety benchmarks.

Amit Gossain, Managing Director of KONE Elevator India and South Asia, delivered the inaugural address. He highlighted key topics such as "Make in India," the Indian economy, the "Housing for All" initiative, and the importance of safety and sustainability in the industry.
