PM Modi Unveils Infrastructure Projects Worth Over ₹8,000 Cr in Gujarat
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects across various sectors, including railways, roads, power, housing, and finance, totalling over ₹8,000 crore in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Key projects include the quadrupling of the Samakhiali–Gandhidham and Gandhidham–Adipur railway lines, iconic road developments in Ahmedabad, and the construction of flyovers at key junctions.
Additionally, the Prime Minister inaugurated a 30 MW solar system and the 35 MW BESS Solar PV Project at Kutch Lignite Thermal Power Station. He also launched a Single Window IT System (SWITS) for the International Financial Services Centres Authority, streamlining financial services. Over 30,000 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY) were also sanctioned, with the first installment released.
In a boost to rail transport, PM Modi flagged off India's first Namo Bharat Rapid Rail between Ahmedabad and Bhuj, alongside several Vande Bharat trains on new routes, including Nagpur-Secunderabad, Pune-Kolhapur, Agra Cantt-Banaras, and Varanasi-Delhi.
