Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari dedicated a 6-lane access-controlled road with elevated viaducts from Manohar International Airport to Dhargal on NH-166S in Goa. The 7 km project, costing ₹1,183 crore, will significantly improve connectivity to Manohar International Airport, facilitating faster and hassle-free travel. This development is expected to boost tourism, enhance multi-modal connectivity, reduce logistics costs, and ensure smoother and safer traffic movement, leading to fuel and travel time savings. The project is poised to stimulate socio-economic growth in the region, positively impacting the local economy and residents' quality of life.
Additionally, Shri Gadkari announced the construction of a 45 km bypass from Wadgaon to the Karnataka border at a cost of ₹3500 crore, and the 4-laning of the Panaji-Belgaum section of NH-748. This 52 km project will cost ₹4000 crore.
