Nitin Gadkari Lays Foundation for Key National Highway Projects in Pune
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, along with Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and Minister Murlidhar Mohol, laid the foundation for two significant National Highway projects in Pune. These include the four-laning of the 13 km Dive Ghat to Hadapsar stretch on NH-965 (Palkhi Marg Package VI) and the construction of major bridges on the Mula-Mutha River with service roads on the Pune-Satara section of NH-48.
Gadkari emphasized the role of these projects in reducing traffic congestion and facilitating a safer journey for Palkhi Yatra devotees. He also announced upcoming projects, including an elevated corridor on the Nashik Phata-Khed section of NH-60 worth ₹7,500 crore, and a Ravet to Narhe elevated corridor set to begin in December 2024, costing ₹5,000 crore. Additionally, elevated corridors on the Talegaon-Chakan-Shikrapur section of NH-548D and the Pune-Shirur section of NH-753F will be developed.
