NHAI Boosts Highway Connectivity In Uttarakhand With Major Infrastructure Upgrades

Highway-Connectivity
NHAI is strengthening National Highway infrastructure across Uttarakhand to improve connectivity, road safety, and regional development. Cities including Haridwar, Rishikesh, Haldwani, Rudrapur, Kathgodam, and Kashipur are benefiting from better highway access, smoother traffic flow, and reduced travel time.

Key projects such as the Delhi–Dehradun Economic Corridor, the Dehradun Bypass, and the Haridwar Bypass are enhancing mobility for tourism, trade, and daily commuting. NHAI is also developing eco-friendly highway stretches in sensitive zones like Rajaji National Park to minimise human–wildlife conflict.

With additional connectivity projects planned for the Garhwal and Kumaon regions, NHAI aims to build safe, sustainable, and future-ready highway corridors that support regional growth, defence movement, and cross-border trade.
