NCR awaits new bypass road to NH-8

Six Lane Bypass Road
National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has given its clearance to construct a new six-lane bypass road originating from Sirhaul Border on NH-8 and terminating near NSG campus in Manesar on the outskirts of Gurgaon for which Delhi and Haryana governments will share 50% cost of land acquisition, NHAI sources said, claiming that around 3.25 lakh vehicles use the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway on a week day and more than 25% vehicles are Manesar-bound, as such a bypass road will help take the load off the main carriageway of NH-8. As a matter of fact, NHAI's nod came after the highways ministry on July 12, had directed it to appoint a consultant to prepare a project report. The bypass starts near Ambience Mall and will be connected to NH-236 on MG Road and then linked to NSG campus in Manesar via sectors 55/56 and Sohna, they insisted.
