Navy Chief Inaugurates New Pier at Karwar Naval Base
The strategic Karwar naval base in coastal Karnataka sees the inauguration of a new 350-meter-long pier by Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar. Part of Project Seabird, aimed at expanding the base to become Asia's largest facility, the pier can accommodate various warships, enhancing the Navy's operational capabilities against Pakistan. It also offers essential shore-based services to the vessels.
