Nashik Appoints CS TECH Ai as PMC for ₹5.81 Cr Sewage Treatment Project

In a major step toward rejuvenating the Godavari River and enhancing urban sanitation, Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has appointed CS TECH Ai (Ceinsys Tech Ltd.) as the Project Management Consultant (PMC) for its city-wide sewage treatment programme.
Awarded under the Public-Private Partnership Hybrid Annuity Model (PPP-HAM), the ₹5.81 crore contract covers the overhaul of existing treatment plants, development of new sewer lines, and long-term operations management to modernise Nashik’s sewage infrastructure.
As PMC, CS TECH Ai will be responsible for end-to-end oversight — from project planning and contractor coordination to quality control, milestone verification, and long-term monitoring. “Managing infrastructure on this scale means aligning data, timelines, and outcomes,” said Prashant Kamat, CEO, CS TECH Ai. “Our role is to ensure Nashik’s vision translates into tangible, measurable results — not just during execution, but over the next two decades, " he added.
The project falls under NMC’s “One City One Operator” model, which consolidates the operation and management of four major sewage treatment plants: Tapovan (180 MLD), Agartakli (97 + 70 MLD), Chehadi (64 MLD), and Panchak (75 MLD). It also includes a decentralised Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) unit, upgrades to 27 pumping stations, and the laying of new rising mains and gravity sewers across the city.
A SCADA-enabled central command centre will be set up at the NMC headquarters to enable real-time monitoring and integrated control of the entire system.
CS TECH Ai will also supervise operations and maintenance for the next 25 years, ensuring that all performance targets are met in line with National Green Tribunal (NGT) guidelines.
This initiative is part of Nashik’s broader push towards sustainable urban development and is being designed to support future requirements including major events like the Kumbh Mela while strengthening the city’s environmental and public health safeguards.
