Nagpur Phase-II metro expansion
The state's urban development department (UDD) has cleared Nagpur's Metro Rail phase-II project worth ₹11,216 crore of which MahaMetro will generate 60% through loans and the central and state governments will share 20% each. The DPR has been forwarded to the state cabinet for approval and the project is being cleared on a fast tracked basis. After the cabinet's nod, the DPR will be sent to the central government for final and mandatory approval, MahaMetro sources said, adding that the state cabinet and the centre will take final decision on funds sharing pattern, which is likely to be on the pattern of ₹7,000 crore to be generated through loans and ₹2,000 crore each will flow from centre and state governments’ coffers.
