The Prime Minister during his recent visit to Manipur in the north east, laid foundation stones for four projects worth over ₹1,500 crore in Manipur and also inaugurated scores of infrastructure and construction projects. These included development of Dhanamanjuri University, flood lighting at Hockey stadium and main stadium of Khuman Lampak Sports complex in Imphal, an integrated checkpost (ICP) at Moreh, Dolaithabi Barrage Project in Thoubal, a FCI Food Storage Godown at Sawombung Imphal East, Buffer Water Reservoirs at Shirui Village in Ukhrul district, upgrading of Water Supply for Churachandpur zone-III, an Eco-tourism complex at Tupul in Noney District, and a Water Supply Scheme at JNV, Lambui and the surrounding rural heartland of the state.
