Mumbai Airport to Redevelop Terminal 1

Mumbai International Airport (MIAL) will redevelop Terminal 1 (T1) at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport to boost passenger capacity and upgrade infrastructure. The revamped terminal will handle 20 million passengers annually, a 42% increase in capacity. Spanning over two million sq. ft., the new facility will focus on digitization and passenger convenience. The redevelopment will begin with the demolition of the existing T1 structure in November 2025, followed by the construction of a modern terminal.
