MoRTH to Approve ₹2,800 Cr for Tripura Road Projects

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) is set to approve projects worth ₹2,800 crore to enhance connectivity in Tripura. Discussions were held on eight key projects for the state, including: ₹800 crore for the Agartala Eastern Bypass; ₹1,500 crore for widening the Amtali to Tripura Sundari Temple Road; ₹400 crore for the development of the Ranirbazar to ISBT road; and ₹100 crore under the Central Road Fund (CRF)

The Chief Minister also discussed plans for a new national highway from Kamalpur to Gandacherra via Ambassa, and from Amarpur to Sabroom, aimed at boosting international trade and tourism.
