MoRTH invites bids for ₹633-cr tunnel in J&K

construction of the Sungal Tunnel
The Union transport ministry has invited bids for the construction of the Sungal Tunnel in J&K involving an investment of ₹633.06 crore. The scope of work includes the designing and construction of the Sungal Tunnel (total length- 2.79 km) including approaches from existing ch 49.150 km to 64.535 km (design ch 46.450 km to 55.800 km) to two lanes with paved shoulder (Package-II) under 13 TF on Akhnoor-Poonch Road (NH-144 A) under the project Sampark of Border Roads Organisation (BRO) on EPC mode. The project commands a completion period of 36 months with 10 years maintenance period from the actual date of completion.
