MoRTH approves ₹726-cr highway projects in MP

The Union transport ministry has approved ₹726 crore highway projects in Madhya Pradesh. These projects involve the construction of 291 km of highways across the state. Road Transport Minister informed that the projects include preparation of detailed project reports for up-gradation of declared National Highway with a length of 572 km at ₹17.72 crore besides strengthening of the road section of Sagar-Chhatarpur on NH 86/934 at an investment of ₹22.65 crore. Apart from this, the balance work of the Sidhi-Singrauli highway has been sanctioned in entailing an investment of ₹529.44 crore. The construction of Bameetha-Khajuraho has also secured approval worth ₹73.43 crore.
