KEC–Siemens in JV wins ₹204-cr rail contract

A consortium of KEC International and Siemens has won a contract of electrification works for North Eastern Railway (NER) sections involving an investment of ₹204 crore. IRCON International has issued a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) to a consortium for the supply and commissioning of railway electrification work for various sections of NER on the EPC model. The scope of work involves the design, supply, installation, testing & commissioning of railway electrification work for Moradabad-Kashipur-Ramnagar, Rampur-Lalkua-Kathgodam including Lalkua-Kashipur and Bhojipura-Lalkua sections of North Eastern Railway (NER) (Package No. 5) on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) model with a completion period of 450 days.
