MoRTH Announces Widening of ₹481.86cr Chhapra Bypass Section in Bihar
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari, has announced the approval for widening the existing 2nd Gen Chhapra Bypass section of National Highway-19 in Saran district, Bihar. The project, estimated at ₹481.86 crore, will involve adding 3 additional lanes to the bypass. Gadkari highlighted that the development aims to ensure smoother and safer traffic flow, leading to a significant reduction in travel time. Furthermore, the project will facilitate seamless connectivity to Purvanchal Expressway from Hajipur (Patna)-Rivilganj-Ballia-Ghazipur, thereby boosting the overall economic development of the region.
