Gadkari sanctions ₹691.70 cr for construction of Kotdwar Bypass
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari, has announced the approval for the construction of a 6 km long 4-lane Kotdwar Bypass on National Highway-119. The project, estimated at ₹691.70 crore, will span Bijnor and Pauri districts in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand respectively. The bypass will alleviate congestion in Kotdwar city, enhance connectivity with Uttar Pradesh, and promote tourism development in the region. Additionally, it will improve accessibility to pilgrimage sites such as Kedarnath and Badrinath Dhams.
