Vadodara Bullet Train Station to Feature 534-Meter FOB, Direct Rail-Bus Connectivity
The station is being constructed above Platform No. 7 of Vadodara Railway Station and is designed to integrate the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail corridor with the existing railway network and the city’s public transport system. According to the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), its location will enable passengers to interchange between Bullet Train services, Western Railway trains and intercity buses with easier access and minimal walking.
The station will have three FOBs to facilitate passenger movement. The 534-metre FOB will connect the Bullet Train station with Vadodara Railway Station and the GSRTC Central Bus Depot. Travelators will be installed to make the interchange more convenient, particularly for passengers carrying luggage.
A 90-metre second FOB will connect the Bullet Train station with the Alkapuri side of Vadodara, crossing over the existing railway tracks. The third FOB, measuring 51 metres, will connect the station with its parking area and plaza and will be equipped with lifts and escalators.
The station will also include comfortable waiting areas, restrooms and retail facilities, along with dedicated pick-up and drop-off zones. Separate parking facilities for cars, buses and autorickshaws are planned.
A modern station plaza with passenger waiting areas, landscaping and clear wayfinding will further enhance passenger convenience and support seamless integration between high-speed rail and other modes of transport.
