RVNL Bags Rs 358.97 Crore Railway Line Doubling Project from East Central Railway

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from East Central Railway for a railway line doubling project worth Rs. 358.97 crore in Bihar.

The project involves doubling of the 41.04-km Kundawa Chainpur–Raxaul stretch on the Sitamarhi–Raxaul section under the Samastipur Division of East Central Railway.

The scope of work includes earthwork, blanketing, construction of minor and major bridges, station and other buildings, platforms, level crossings and associated civil works. The infrastructure will be designed for 25-tonne Indian Railway Standard Loading.

The project has been awarded on an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis and is scheduled to be completed within 1,095 days, or approximately three years.
