Messe Stuttgart India Partners with Startup India for LogiMAT India 2025

India’s logistics sector is set to reach $357.3 billion by 2030, but a sharp decline in funding is raising concerns. A McKinsey & Company report highlights a steep fall in venture capital investment, which plunged from $25.6 billion in 2021 to just $2.9 billion in 2023—the lowest since 2015. This nearly 90% drop is linked to high interest rates, a global shipping slowdown, and oversupply in cargo carriers driving down freight rates.
To revive investor confidence, Messe Stuttgart India has partnered with Startup India to support logistics startups through LogiMAT India 2025. This initiative aims to enhance operational efficiency and position India among the top 25 countries in the Logistics Performance Index by 2030.
Aligned with Viksit Bharat 2047, the PM Gati Shakti initiative and National Logistics Policy are driving a shift towards an integrated, multimodal transport system, paving the way for a more efficient and globally competitive logistics sector.
Aditya Gupta, Interim CEO, Messe Stuttgart India says, "As the nation is undergoing economic advancement, the logistics industry stands out as a key driver of India's growth trajectory. With dedicated government initiatives, schemes, robust demand, increasing manufacturing activities, and sustained investments, the future of our logistics sector looks promising.
