Maharashtra clears Rs. 805-cr water infra projects

The state government of Maharashtra has recently approved nine water-supply projects, two sewage treatment plants and an over-bridge for different districts entailing an investment of Rs. 805-cr covering the entire state. The projects included water supply schemes for Bhiwandi-Nijampur (Rs. 205.52cr), Nanded-Waghala (Rs. 24.12cr), Parbhani (Rs. 102.94cr), Beed (Rs. 114.19cr), Shirdi (Rs.36.65cr), Lonavala (Rs. 33.48cr), Ahmedpur (Rs. 44.52cr), Chikhaldara (Rs. 3.81cr), and Dondaicha Varwade (Rs. 20.91cr), an official spokesperson said in a statement, adding that two sewage treatment plants approved are Kalyan-Dombivali (Rs. 153.38cr) and Kolhapur (Rs. 72.47cr) and the over-bridge approved by the government is to construct in the Malegaon Municipal Corporation, limits at an investment of Rs.21.72cr.
