M'rashtra clears Rs.1,622-cr for tier-2 cities

In order to build top class urban infrastructure across 28 tier-2 cities, the state government has recently cleared a staggering sum of Rs.1,622-crore, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, claiming that these projects will be inaugurated under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) and Nagar Utthan schemes, that aimed to upgrade existing infrastructure matching rising population and urbanization. Under the two schemes, water supply, sewerage treatment and laying of sewerage lines and development of green belts have been sanctioned, including Rs.13.63 crore water supply project in Ambernath and a similar Rs.17.77 crore project in Badalpur and Kulgaon also got go-ahead, he claimed.
