hanging bridge
Adding yet another feather to the sprawling state capital of Telangana, Hyderabad, the State government is all set to build its first hanging bridge. For the first cable-stayed bridge in the city across Durgam Cheruvu, the construction work will start shortly. GHMC is taking up the construction of the Rs.184 project, which is being awarded to engineering and construction giant, Larsen and Toubro. Apart from benefiting people travelling towards Madhapur from Jubilee Hills Road No. 45, and surrounding areas, the project is also expected to decongest Jubilee Hills Road No. 36 that sees high traffic flow during peak hours. The design and general alignment drawings of the bridge are being prepared on war footing and the entire project will be completed in two years, said official sources.
