Long pending ROB gains momentum

Tarighat Ghazipur Rail Over Bridge
The Tarighat-Ghazipur rail over bridge, which has been lying in limbo for over six decades now, has finally seen light at the end of the tunnel, as the Central government has fast tracked the construction work on the project, said sources, claiming that the location of the project is about 130 km from Varanasi and falls in the Zamania assembly constituency in Ghazipur district. Decades back in 1962, the then Lok Sabha MP and former Prime Minister, Vishwanath Singh had appealed to the then PM, Pt JawaharLal Nehru, to build the bridge over Ganga, connecting Tarighat near Gahmar with Ghazipur, but the project remained pending till date. But now the government of day has initiated the work on the mega bridge project, which is expected to be completed this year itself.
