Land Acquisition Begins for 77.4-km PMRDA Ring Road

The district administration has initiated the land acquisition process for the 77.4-km long and 65-meter-wide PMRDA Ring Road project, aimed at reducing traffic congestion in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad. The ambitious project will require approximately 743.41 hectares, covering government, forest, defence, PMC-transferred, and private lands.
Authorities are targeting to complete land acquisition for the first and second phases by May, with a significant portion of land already marked as non-agricultural, which is expected to expedite the process.
A joint effort by PMRDA and MSRDC, the Ring Road will play a crucial role in improving regional connectivity and easing urban traffic, supporting the growing transportation needs of Pune and surrounding areas.
