The construction arm of the Larsen & Toubro has bagged orders of Rs. 1,167-cr across business verticals. The subsidiary secured an order from the Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd. (RINL) and also an order from Karnataka Urban Water Supply & Distribution Board. Apart from this, it also bagged contract from Public Health & Municipal Engineering Department (PHMED), Government of Andhra Pradesh. In the water and effluent treatment segment, the company has bagged Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) orders of Rs. 843-cr from prestigious customers. Similarly, in the metallurgical and material handling business, the company has bagged orders of Rs. 259cr, including add-ons and also a fresh order has been secured from Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., for construction of pet coke handling system in Haldia, besides, additional orders of Rs. 65-cr have been bagged by other business verticals in various ongoing projects, said official sources.
