Larsen & Toubro's wholly owned arm L&T Construction has signed a contract with Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation for track laying on Mumbai Metro Line-3 underground stretch, said an official spokesperson. L&T has bagged the contract package 10C for part design, procurement and supply, installation, testing and commissioning of approximately 40 km of ballast-less track on the mainline and ballasted track inside the Aarey Depot in the section between BKC station to Aarey Station. In addition, L&T has been awarded contract package 10B for procurement and supply of Turnouts, Scissor Crossovers and Buffer Stops for the entire Mainline for Mumbai Metro Line 3 (Colaba–Bandra–SEEPZ stretch) including Package 10C. Another order has been secured from the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) involving design, procurement and supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the ballast-less track on the mainline and ballasted track in the depot between Bandra Kurla Complex Station to Aarey Station (Package 10C – 40 Track km) for Mumbai Metro Line 3 project.
