L&T to Invest ₹48,000 Crore in Green Ammonia Plants

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is set to invest ₹48,000 crore over the next decade to establish six green ammonia manufacturing units at Deendayal Port in Kandla, Gujarat. Each unit, with a capacity of 300 KTPA, will cost approximately ₹8,000 crore and be developed in six phases.

Green ammonia, vital for industrial decarbonisation, is produced through water electrolysis powered by renewable energy. L&T is in talks with global buyers to export green ammonia, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
