Larsen & Toubro (L&T)
The Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) business of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured a significant batch of grid infrastructure orders in Saudi Arabia for the construction of a 380 kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) and 380 kV transmission lines spanning an aggregated route length of over 420 km.

The first contract involves the construction of a 380/33 kV GIS Substation, including hybrid GIS elements, 380 kV transformers and reactors, along with comprehensive systems for power protection, control, automation, telecommunication, HVAC, and firefighting.

The second set of orders covers the development of 380 kV overhead transmission links that will enhance Saudi Arabia’s electricity grid reliability and connectivity.

These projects are part of Saudi Arabia’s National Renewable Energy Programme (NREP), which aims to strengthen the nation’s power transmission network to accommodate the rapid expansion of renewable energy generation. L&T’s involvement underscores its role as a key partner in advancing Saudi Arabia’s clean energy and grid modernization goals.
