L&T Flags Off First 700 MWe Steam Generator for Fleet Programme

Larsen & Toubro's (L&T) Heavy Engineering division has marked a significant milestone by flagging off the first Steam Generator (SG) for the indigenously developed 10 X 700 MWe PHWR Fleet Programme. The SG, a critical component for Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL), was delivered 12 months ahead of schedule, surpassing L&T's previous benchmarks in SG manufacturing.

This achievement aligns with India's commitment to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2070 and supports NPCIL's mission to enhance India's nuclear power capacity. L&T's Heavy Engineering vertical, known for supplying technology-intensive equipment across various sectors, continues to contribute to India's strides in clean energy.
