L&T bags infra orders worth Rs. 16,000-cr

Larsen Toubro Infra Orders
Defying prevailing trend in the market, country's construction and engineering giant, L&T is all set to spring a surprise in its order inflows in the September quarter as it has already bagged a whopping orders of Rs. 16,900-cr across infra segments. As a matter of fact, the orders announced till the beginning of October indicated a growth of 34% year-on-year basis covering urban infrastructure, metros, power, and building projects, said official sources, claiming that the company is likely to be back on investors' radar, largely due to a pick-up in order inflows and execution. Available stats show that the order simultaneously reported to the stock exchanges, as and when the company bags one during any quarter, is typically two-third of the total order shown in final quarterly results. Given the current scenario, the overseas order inflow is likely to remain steady owing to transmission & distribution, and defense orders inflow from Vietnam, they insisted.
