Kerala clears flurry of infrastructure projects

Kerala infrastructure projects
The Kerala government has approved multiple infra projects worth ₹1,805 crore under the Rebuild Kerala Initiative. Of them, ₹300 crore has been earmarked for reconstruction of roads under PWD and for the roads under local bodies of eight districts ₹488 crore has been sanctioned. In Brahamapuram, a bridge across the Kadambrayar River will be constructed at a cost of ₹30 crore. To implement livelihood schemes through Kudumbashree for affected families, ₹250 crore has been allocated. Kerala Water Authority has got an allocation of ₹350 crore for maintenance of pipes and replacing damaged lines. For reconstruction of 70 village offices and maintenance of 40 other government properties, ₹35 crore has been sanctioned, and a sum of ₹182.76 crore has been cleared for various agriculture and fisheries sectors ravaged by heavy rains and landslides.
