Kennametal India Appoints Amit Laroya as New Non-Executive Chairman

Kennametal India Limited has appointed Amit Laroya, former Managing Director of 3M India Limited, as its new Non-Executive Chairman, succeeding Mr. B. Anjani Kumar, who recently retired from the board. With extensive experience across electronics, industrial, automotive, and safety sectors, Mr. Laroya is recognized for driving profitable growth and advancing strategic transformations.

A Master Black Belt in Six Sigma, Mr. Laroya has led numerous process improvements using methodologies like Hoshin Kanri and Six Sigma. His impressive career at 3M includes roles such as Global Director for Strategy (USA) and Managing Director of 3M entities in India, Indonesia, and Korea. Currently, he is the Senior Vice President for Asia's Transportation and Electronics Business at 3M. His appointment at Kennametal India is anticipated to leverage his expertise in portfolio strategies and change management to support the company’s future growth trajectory.
