KEC cracks ₹2,105-cr contracts in international arena
KEC International, an infrastructure Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) major and a part of RPG Enterprises, has announced the winning of cross-country contracts worth ₹2,105 crore across various businesses. The company's transmission and distribution vertical has secured several orders totaling to ₹1,584 crore in India, Abu Dhabi, Thailand and America. They includes transmission line package contract won from PGCIL subsidiary under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) route and also contracts for the construction of transmission lines and AIS substations from Bihar State Power Transmission Company Limited (BSPTCL), among other orders. KEC's railway business has secured an order of ₹261 crore for overhead electrification works and associated civil works in Western India. The civil business vertical has bagged ₹116 crore worth orders for the expansion of a paint shop and construction of clinker production plant from a cement company, while the cables business has bagged orders worth ₹144 crore. The order in Abu Dhabi along with the earlier orders in Dubai will enable the company to further strengthen the Middle East portfolio, MD & CEO, Vimal Kejriwal, said.
