Bihar braces for ₹17,887-cr infrastructure projects
Prime Minister is all set to lay foundation stones for infrastructure projects worth ₹17,887 crore, state’s Urban Development Minister Suresh Sharma said detailing that among others, the projects also included Patna Metro Rail project. Bihar cabinet and Union government has already cleared the fresh detailed project report (DPR) for the Patna Metro Rail and sanctioned funds for the same. In the first phase, a 33.1-km-long track having two corridors — east-west and north-south — will be set up in Patna. The west-east corridor would run between Danapur and Patna railway station via Dakbungalow Square while the south-north corridor would run between the Inter-State Bus Terminal and Gandhi Maidan via Rajendra Nagar and Ashok Rajpath. The project is slated for commissioning in five years from the date of the commencement of construction work, he claimed.
