Karnataka to Enhance Rural Connectivity with 18 New Roads & 2 Bridges
In a bid to strengthen rural connectivity and boost economic growth in Karnataka, the Ministry of Rural Development has approved the construction of 18 roads and 2 bridges under the PM-JANMAN initiative. These projects, totaling 23.766 km, represent an estimated investment of ₹25.1796 crore.
This initiative aims to significantly improve the socio-economic conditions of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) by providing enhanced connectivity in rural areas, bridging the gap between remote villages and urban centers. The improved infrastructure will foster economic development, trade, and commerce, and enhance access to essential services like healthcare, education, and markets. Additionally, it is expected to create employment opportunities and stimulate local economies, aligning with the government's vision of a prosperous and developed India (Viksit Bharat).
