K'taka launches Rs. 400-cr infra projects

In order to provide matching facilities across districts, the Karnataka Chief Minister recently launched a flurry of infrastructure and construction projects in the state entailing an investment of Rs. 400cr. The projects in question will be built in a phased manner whereby under the phase of one of the projects, the state agencies will construct a building to house 11 district-level offices of various government departments at a cost of Rs. 59cr. In the second phase, the remaining 17 district-level offices will be built at a cost of Rs. 110cr. The CM also launched work on a Rs. 233-cr drinking water scheme for the city. Once the planned projects are completed, all the district offices of the state government will be brought under one roof and the projects are expected to be completed in the next 18 months.
