JSW Energy Commissions First 80 MW Unit of 240 MW Kutehr Hydro Plant in HP

JSW Energy has successfully commissioned the first 80 MW unit of its 240 MW (3×80 MW) Kutehr Hydroelectric Power Plant located in Chamba, Himachal Pradesh. Power generation from this unit has commenced and is being dispatched to the Haryana Power Purchase Centre (HPPC).

The second 80 MW unit has been synchronised with the grid and is currently undergoing trial operations, while the third unit is expected to follow soon. The project is supported by a 35-year long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with HPPC for the entire 240 MW capacity at a levelised ceiling tariff of ₹4.50 per kWh, with provisions for extension.
