J&K unveils new highway to Chenab Valley

In its quest to ensure faster movement of ‘man and material' across the state, the state government in J&K has decided to build new road connectivity to Chenab Valley and that it has sent a proposal for alternate highway from Lakhanpur to Doda via Ranjit Sagar Dam, which is currently under construction, the concerned state's Transport Minister said. Further adding that to provide alternate road connectivity to Chenab Valley by constructing a National Highway via Ranjit Sagar Dam was flagged off by the Chief Minister recently. The Ministry desired the state to send a detailed proposal in the matter which is under progress. The appraisal reports for the construction of road from Padhri to Bal Padri and from Chattergala to Kailash Kund upto Seoj Dhar are under process.
