In order to provide hassle-free transport facilities to the masses of the state, the state government in Jharkhand is all set to start the construction work on the Pirpaiti-Jasidih rail line at an investment of Rs. 2,100cr, as an MoU to this effect will be inked shortly. On the other hand, the Jharkhand Chief Minister has called upon Indian Railways to ensure fast completion of the on-going projects in the state entailing an investment of Rs. 8,400cr. He said that new bogies should be added to the trains of Jharkhand. The state government has already given its contribution to the Railways and most of the work of Ranchi-Barkakana-Hazaribag- Koderma (203 km) is completed and trains will run soon on this route.
