JDA eyes Rs. 2,850-cr for infra projects

Jaipur Development Authority
The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA), which has already sought loans of Rs. 2,250 crore from National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) for the city's major infra projects is planning to avail yet another loan of Rs. 800 crore to complete the construction of seven ongoing railway over bridges (ROBs) across the city. The proposal will be forwarded to the state government for final approval. It is expected that the NCRPB will provide JDA the loan with 5 percent subsidy if the loan is repaid on time. There is a possibility that the state government may not provide bank guarantee for all projects other than the elevated road. Earlier, the government had agreed to stand guarantor for the Dravyavati River rejuvenation project and the JDA for the drainage and sewerage projects and now the nodal agency expects that NCRPB to provide 75% of the proposed loan amount facilitating the completion of the targeted infrastructure projects.
