J&K cracks Rs. 160-cr infra projects

In a bid to build matching infrastructure in the state, the state government in Jammu and Kashmir has been provided funds worth Rs. 160-cr to build about 21 road projects under PMGSY. Score of projects will be taken up in Billawar area of the state and also set aside funds worth Rs. 4-cr for the construction of indoor stadium at Billawar.

Other infrastructure projects included the construction of water reservoir ensuring supply of safe drinking water, laying of new roads and upgrading the older ones, and commissioning of grid station. For the construction of Khoag-Dalian-Baghar road and also a bridge at Dalian as Detail Project Report (DPR) for carrying out these projects has already been prepared and construction work is all set to start very shortly, said an official spokesperson.
