J&K approves 282 projects worth ₹548 cr

The Jammu and Kashmir has recently approved 282 projects involving an investment of ₹548 crore, Principal Secretary Finance Navin Choudhary, who is also the founding Chairman-cum-Managing Director of JKIDFC said, adding that the projects cleared in committee meeting included 24 for Housing & Urban Development Department costing ₹78.77 crore, 27 projects of Health & Medical Education (₹47.29 crore), 142 of PHE Department (₹280.61 crore), 64 projects of PWD (₹118.50 crore), 19 of School Education (₹3.62 crore), 3 projects of Tourism Department (₹14.14 crore), 1 project of Transport Department (₹4.62 crore) and 2 projects of Power Development Department (₹1.37 crore). All these projects would be funded for the time-bound completion through Jammu and Kashmir Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation. The committee meeting has earlier cleared 1,296 such projects in various key sectors, involving a cumulative investment of ₹2,720.87 crore through JKIDFC.
